Can't find a scouting report on Maciejewski to see what he throws. Guess we'll just have to watch and see for ourselves. lol, we still don't know what he throws. That was easy.

So, junkballing righty, Sinker and change, probably a slider as well Change on the outside corner to de la Cruz, and he rolls over it to Berti, throws him out, game over. Three grounders to Berti ends the game in just 4 pitches, as the Marlins were in a hurry to make sure they're 1-10 at night's end and to make sure they get to their dinner reservations on time.
"Nice to beat you, thanks for coming. Beat you very much. Beat you again, tomorrow. Good night."

Stars of the game. Tempted to make Nestor all 3 stars for pitching a great game, and giving the real relievers the night off, but form must be followed:
3rd star of the game: Soto, for the 3-0 HR that basically put it out of reach for the ummm...struggling...Marlins. 2nd star: Volpe for the first 3-run HR that cracked Luzardo's shutout and for getting into two separate argument with one marginal bad call and one obvious bad call. 1st star: Well, who do you think? The Nasty One™, of course.

Maciejewski becomes a strong contender for most difficult to spell Yankee player. Nice job by him They way things are going he might become the bridge to Hamilton after that outing…

Volpe still looks perturbed by those last two strikeouts that shouldn't have been. He's trying so hard to eliminate strikeouts from his game. He's staying within the strike zone, unless the umpire takes the bat out of his hands.
