Mentioned it before, only A's have more errors than us. Unusual high percentage have been throwing. Great point. Seems to me, there a lot of throwing errors... Would be interesting to see the stat on throwing errors.. Need to bring Sax back to teach these guys how to throw.  |

Herrin in his 2nd MLB season. He's off to an OK start, just 1 hit and 1 run in 5 1/3 innings but with 4 BB and 3 K.
Uses a FB 95, a slider 87-8 and a change 82 in almost equal thirds. Verdugo has never faced him.
Slider low gets off the glove of Naylor and Rizzo to 3rd with 2 outs on the wild pitch.

Verdugo misses a waist high curve that bent off the plate away for the K, inning over.

Hamilton might be coming in here. Ferguson threw 25 pitches getting out of Schmidt's mess.

Looks like plan is to get 2 from Hamilton and Holmes closes. For Lauren's sake hope we have more than a 1 run lead in the 9th.

Not sure if it's the weather in NJ but boring game. Too many fails with RISP and blown rallies. 1-1 slider down and in, popped behind 1st, Torres tries to call off Rizzo, but he says "G'way boy, ya bother me" and catches for the 1st out. |
