Yeah, I read about that, but let's just say I'm dubious. Pushing him out of his start to call up Cody Poteet and start him is just the first case of them not following through, although it could be argued that they don't want to start him on short rest in the 3rd game of the next series. Schmidt gets ahead of Gimenez 1-2, but on a 2-2 cutter on the corner low and away, he slaps it to left for a single. Now, Ramirez in Schimdt's 1st crisis of the day. |

You wanna know why Schmidt can't get deep into games?
That 0-2 pitch to Ramirez is why.
His command is so poor that he misses waist high, down the middle or both, every at bat.
0-2 on Ramirez and he gives him a slider down the middle and Ramirez jumped all over it and barely pulled it foul deep down the right side.
Then he throws a good curve under his hands for a K> 2 down
