Wells has no luck right now and his body language is horrendous… He hasn't been good offensively or defensively. We have a lot of catching waiting in the wings. |

2-1 on Grisham
Bounces a curve inside, 3-1
I'd tell him to take here, but he's going so poorly, he can't afford to.
Doesn't matter, Bassitt hits the low outside corner with a sinker, 3-2, and I don't want Grisham swing at that on 3-1
Cutter gets a decent piece of the outside corner, but Grisham gets a big break, and it's called ball 4.
Last pitch was 25% on Gameday

Grisham goes on the 1st pitch to Volpe, and it looks like they got him on the butt, and the Jays will challenge and get the safe call overturned.

Ump was caught moving while trying to see the tag and missed it. Call overturned. 2 outs, nobody on.
When you're making outs 90% of the time, you can't afford to get caught stealing down by 2.
0-2 on Volpe.

It'll be interesting to see if they leave Gil in to face Guerrero, Bichette and Turner for a 3rd look.

Gil stays in
1-1 on Guerrero slider outside, 2-1
Slider low/away 3-1.
Still nobody moving in the pen
FB bounced way outside ball 4. Wells chases after it hard, but Guerrero takes his time removing his armor, and there's no chance he tries to 2nd.
Bichette grounds a 1st pitch slider to Cabrera, and he quickly turns a 5-4-3 DP.
That slider had good break and wound up thigh high on the corner away, and Bichette tried to pull it.
