Sinker inside corner spoiled.
Cutter at the top bends outside, Torres chases and misses.
Schneider does the Yanks a favor, takes out Bassitt after the K at 97 pitches.
Mayza, the Jays' key lefty, in to face Verdugo, Cabrera and possibly Wells.

Mayza off to a terrible start this season. In 8 games, 5 1/3 innings, 8 hits, 7 runs, 6 earned, 2 HR, 6 BB and 5 K. ERA is over 10 and WHIP is 2.4.

Sinker down the middle, Verdugo tries to line it the other way, but Varsho is a great outfielder and was playing that way, and makes a sliding catch on his knees right on the line, 2 down.

ocab hits it to the track but no cigar. haven't seen him bat RH much this season

1-0 sinker thigh high in the middle, and Cabrera gives it a ride the other way, but it dies a couple of steps from the track, and Springer catches to end the inning.
Bottom 7, 3-1 Jays. Both Yanks hit the ball pretty well, but too close to the outfielders.

Marinaccio still in, gets ahead of Keirmeier, 0-2, then a sinker on the low outside corner is chopped weakly to the left side, Cabrera moves in, catches and throws him out, 1 down.
Marinaccio got through the 6th on just 7 pitches so he gets another inning.
