Not-so-trivia...Yanks have won at least the pennant in all 3 seasons where they opened a Yankee Stadium. Title in 2023, Pennant in 1976 (got swept by Cincy in the Series), and last title in 2009.

Bichette gets under a 1-1 slider thigh high in the middle of the plate, pops to Grisham in center, inning over.
Top 8, 3-1 Jays.
Mayza might stay in for Wells and Grisham. If the Yanks PH for Grisham, then they probably go to Green.
Volpe due up 3rd in the 8th.

OK, Schneider does another favor brings in Green to face the lefties.
Green pitching well so far this year, they just showed his stats.
He's been closing for them lately with Romano on the IL

Still throws the high spin FB up to get chases and popups.

Volpe pulls off a slider outside corner, 1-1
Same pitch but outside, taken, 2-1
FB at the very bottom of the zone at 97, taken, 2-2
FB outside corner thigh high, spoiled.
Slider into the zone up and away, Volpe pulls it to short, Bichette fields on the side, throws him out inning over.
