Tries the slider down and in, but Bichette spits on it for ball 4.
1st and 2nd, 1 out, and 22 pitches so far for Rodon.

bichette walks on 12 pitches. rodon couldn't put him away. up tp 22 pitches. quite a contrast to kikuchi

Late with the arm, curve hangs high, 2-1
Fb inside middle, strike 2.
Misses a FB at the top at 96. Put a bit extra on that one. K, inning over.
Top 2, 0-0, but Rodon needed 32 pitches to get out of the 1st.
Stanton, Rizzo and Torres for the Yanks in the 2nd.

Looking ahead, if need be, Weaver is on 1 day's rest after throwing 22 pitches Sunday
Hamliton is on 2 days' rest and can give 2 innings if needed. Gonzalez, Burdi, Ferguson and Holmes are on one day's rest

Stanton fouls off a FB up,
Swings under another above the zone
Tomahawks a FB above the zone, hit hard to Bichette's backhand, but he muffs it for an E-6. 102 on that grounder.
Rizzo hit a fly to center on a 1st pitch curve down the middle, 1 down.

When your starter throws 32 pitches in the first, you don't have the right to swing on a 1st pitch, Rizzo
1-1 on Torres..
Curve outside. Torres hits Kikuchi very well...2-1
Curve on the low inside corner and he hits it for HR distance but foul down the left side, 2-2
I'd expect a high FB here.
