Anyone giving odds on Stroman making it past 4?

1-2 on Springer, the hit for Kiermeier gets Guerrero into this inning, unless Stroman can get another DP Slider outside, 2-2, Stroman over 40 pitches himself now.

Fools Springer with a curve outside, and he pulls a grounder to Cabrera, but it's hit too slowly and he has to settle for the out at 1st. That's a big play, because now Guerrero gets another shot at Stroman with 2 outs and 2 RISP
Slurve fouled back, 0-1.

Takes a huge hack at a sinker diving low, 0-2 Now it just gets harder.

Nice to see game threads with multiple posters ...and they're all me. Well, no, not really, Just seems that way. I did game threads for a couple of decades where maybe 5 other posters posted on the whole thread. So it's a noble task. When you start making up silly names for players it is probably going too far....

Sinker tails back toward the corner away, but still stays at least 3 inches outside, 1-2 Split hangs on the inside corner, and Guerrero smashes it down 3rd, Cabrera makes a great backhand stop, gets up and DELIBERATELY bounces it to 1st, bouncing it way in front of Rizzo, giving him a chance to scoop, which he does. Almost bounced it too far in front, as it was heading down again as Rizzo caught it. Rizzo points at him for the 3-star play.
Yanks got out of it without further damage, 2-0 Jays going top 3. 28 pitches for Stroman in the 2nd, 46 through 2. Looks like he's not going more than 5 today.
Soto, Judge, Rizzo for the Yanks in the 3rd.

When you start making up silly names for players it is probably going too far.... I do that occasionally, especially when a player is in a terrible slump. I took to calling Aaron Hicks "Artificial Singularity" for most of his last 2-3 years with the Yanks.

Hangs a 1-1 slider inside middle, and Soto's hard grounder gets past a diving Schneider (to his left) for a leadoff single.

2-1 on Judge. Jammed by a FB in, breaks his bat, and his grounder to Bichette's left, but he spears it, and starts a 6-4-3 DP Gonna see a lot of those this year, batting behind Soto and his metric ton of BB.

So, when are we gonna get the news that Judge is playing thru an injury?

Geez. Gausman has been TERRIBLE this year and we can't even break through on him...

1-1 on Rizzo. Judge's DP also saves Gausman a lot of pitches. Completely fooled by the 1-1 splitter diving way low, 1-2. Gausman stuff and command much better this game. Need to tire him out. Chases a low splitter, foul tipped into the mitt for the K, inning over.
Yanks "respond" to Stroman's long 2nd by making out on just 11 pitches. Gausman at 58 through 3. Bottom 3, 2-0 Jays.
Bichette, Turner and Biggio for the Jays in the 3rd.

Geez. Gausman has been TERRIBLE this year and we can't even break through on him... His stuff and command are much much better today than when they faced him at the Stadium, hitting 95 regularly with the FB, and that separation to his splitter makes all the difference. I'm afraid his struggles are over, though maybe other lineups might do better.

1-2 on Bichette... Sinker outside corner, fouled. Slider well outside, tapped to 2nd, Torres throws him out, 1 down.
