Splitter bounced again, 2-2. Volpe should've walked already. none of the pitches have been close to the zone. Hanging slider down the middle, but Volpe was expecting the FB and is way off balance, pops to center. Got a meatball but was looking fastball there.
Bottom 2, 0-0. 20 more pitches for Gausman in the 2nd, and 47 throu8gh 2. Biggio Schneider Varsho for the Jays.

After hitting 97-8 multiple times in the first, Gausman FB down to 94-5 in the 2nd. Biggio takes a strike Poorly located curve taken right down the middle, 0-2. Cutter near middle, but the late movement saves him, jams Biggio, who hits a tapper back to Stroman for the 1st out.

We want all our guys going 110% on every play but I do not see a lack of hustle in Dugo.

Slurve clips the top of the zone, not called 1-0 on Schneider. Gets a makeup as a slider that misses outside by 2-3 inches is called strike 1. Sinker above and outside middle middle, Schneider goes the other way, takes it through the 34 hole for a 1 out single.

Sinker at the knees near outside corner, 0-1 on Varsho. Cutter inside, 1-1. Swings over the cutter inside thigh high, 1-2. Makes a terrible location mistake with the sinker, was supposed to be inside to jam him, but it tails right over the heart of the plate, waist high, just inside middle, and Varsho doesn't miss, belts it out to right, 2 run HR makes it 2-0 Jays, and the sweep watch is on.

Good afternoon, Happy Quinn. And you're right, it's not. Stroman reacts to the HR by walking Kirk on 4 pitches, getting Springer into this inning. Keirmeier hits Stroman for power, slugging over .500 against him in over 30 AB, probably because Stroman can't overpower him.

Sinker outside corner, 0-1 Sinker misses well low, called strike 2 anyway. Kiermeier upset with the call and he's right. Splitter low, 1-2 Slider or cutter inside, fouled down. Kiermeier chops it high to first, and I'm yelling "get an out, get any out", but Rizzo charges, gets beaten by the short hop, scored and infield hit, and the Jays are poised for an early knockout of Stroman. I'll bet Boone is thrilled.
