Soto should have been at the wall where he didn’t need to jump, be he jumps and make the catch anyway. He just made me nervous, that’s all…

Cutter misses the top outside corner, 1-2. Bad cutter just above and inside middle-middle, hit hard to deep right, Soto goes back to track, times his leap right, and makes an excellent catch will bouncing off the wall. Hope he's OK.
Inning over, still 0-0 going bottom 3.
15 pitch 1-2-3 for Schmidt and 58 through, which, NO, that's not a good pitch count, Kay. 5 innings, AT BEST.

Cabrera, leadoff single. Let's get him home.

Soto should have been at the wall where he didn’t need to jump, be he jumps and make the catch anyway. He just made me nervous, that’s all… I cut him a bit a slack, just his 7th home game of the season, though he's played some games in that field before. Cabrera gets a 1-1 sinker in the middle of the zone, ground it sharply to the right side, Mead dives and knocks it down, can't hold it, infield hit.

Volpe pushes the bunt toward 1st, bunts too hard hoping to get it by Alexander for a hit, lucky they didn't go for the force. Scored a sac bunt anyway, Cabrera to 2nd with 1 out.

Soto goes after a 1st pitch cutter on the back door, thinking they'll pitch around him, and pops to left, 2 down. Two straight 1 pitch outs by the Yanks after the Cabrera single.

1-0 waist high cutter inside, a meatball, and Judge is late and under again, routine fly to right ends the inning.
Just 4 pitches for Volpe, Soto and Judge after the hit by Cabrera, bailing Alexander out of his pitch count problems and getting Schmidt right back out there.
8 pitches for Alexander in the 4th, and 51 through 3. Top 4, 0-0.
4-5-6 for the Jays, Paredea, Ramirez and Rosario in the 4th.

Paredes takes a strike, then a curve on the inside corner freezes him for strike 2. Bounces the curve outside, 1-2
Last night, while the Yanks were off, the Rays won and the Red Sox lost. Yanks started the day 1/2 up on the O's, 2 1/2 on the Rays, 3 on the Jays, 3 1/2 on the Red Sox.
Cutter stays waist high outer 3rd, hammered to left for a leadoff hit. AGAIN, after being behind, 1-2

The Rays can lose starter after starter, Kay, because they have a GREAT management team, and always find an acceptable answer within the organization, or Cash improvises something, or the pick up someobody' retread and are able to quickly fix him.
Ramirez falls behind 1-2, takes a curve low, chases a slider outside for the K, 1 down.

Bounces the curve outside. He does that so often, gets a chase for strike 2, and then throws the same pitch again only worse, expecting a chase that never comes. Slider outside spoiled. 2 pitches since 0-2.
