Slider away, Volpe tops it toward short, Allen charges and fields but Volpe simply beats it for an infield hit. Bases loaded, two down for Soto.

Made a bit of a mistake with the slider, winds up just outside and above middle, but Soto isn't perfect, misses it and hits a high fly to left-center. Bleday catches, inning over.
Top 3, 2-0 Yanks.

Schmidt starts the 3rd at 40 pitches, he'll face Allen, Noda and Nevin.

Yikes! I just woke up. Took the dogs to the vet and they had not me walked since last year when we went. They gave me a workout! Plus I had a pneumonia shot yesterday, so that’s working on me a little. Anyway, hi! … Why did the vet make you walk? |
