Scouting Report on Nabers if anyone cares: POSITIVES — Very good burst and explosiveness. — Great acceleration and long speed. True deep threat. — Very good YAC threat. High-end athlete with natural vision. — Quick, flexible route-runner. Can sink and burst out of route breaks with ease. — Good ball-tracking skills. Can track the ball down the field as well as outside his frame. NEGATIVES — Release package needs work. Too often wastes time and doesn't get upfield. — Inconsistent when attacking the ball in traffic. Does not reliably win the ball through contact. — Can struggle to play in the air and contort his body to find the ball. He's a bit undersized for an NFL wide receiver. That does concern me with him winning battles in the air. However, he has a good history of running good routes in a pretty damn good conference. Yes, the first negative I listed worries me. Small receivers can get jammed out of their routes, especially when you need quick slants and outs against a blitz package. That's the first negative listed. But you're right; dominating in the SEC is a good point on his resume, and why he went so high in the 1st round.

Going 2/2 vs. the A’s feels very much like… going 2/2 vs. the A’s should feel like. We should have demolished their starting pitching… and we failed to take enough advantage of a defense that is not exactly efficient… better lock in and start the engines, or we’re going to be looking a long ways up to see the Orioles…

He's the same size as Ja'Marr Chase and more physical than Justin Jefferson, who is only an inch taller but not as thick. Do you like what you see of those two wideouts from LSU? Because Nabers essentially broke all their records. Nabers is 6'0" and 200 pounds, and he's only 20 years old - won't be 21 until late July. He runs a 4.38 40 and has a 42 inch vertical. And, more than anything, he can run after the catch. When Jayden Daniels needed a third down, Nabers never disappointed. Chase is probably stronger than Nabers, but he was also older when he entered the draft. Nabers also has all the intangibles - loves to learn, huge heart, great work ethic, and stays out of trouble. No one in the SEC ever shut down Malik Nabers, which is why he has over 3000 receiving yards for his LSU career.

Wow, felt like I just watched the 2023 Yankees. Loading the bases and not scoring early then not doing much rest of the way seems like it... 14-11 this time last year 17-8 this year. Biggest difference though? 14-11 was 6 GB last year tied for the division this year. So things do look "better", but improvements are needed.

By the way, NFL prediction: Bo Nix will be a bust.

By the way, NFL prediction: Bo Nix will be a bust. I don’t know a thing about him, but if ever a boy was named to be a future bust, Bo Nix… What the hell were his parents thinking?…

It is an ironic combination though. Think about Bo Jackson and "Bo's" in general. Pretty cool sounding, eh? But then they have to add Nix, which is like the German Nichts, which means "nothing". "Bo knows Nothing." Interesting choice.

Gleyber's extensive history of dumb mistakes on the field and the bases will probably cost him in the long run. When it comes to a free agent contract, I think the Yankees are going to give him the Cano treatment. I can't remember for sure, but I think Cano was offered a contract. If they re-sign Soto, I'm pretty sure the Yankees are going to let Torres walk at the end of the season, if they don't trade him before that.
