Not a great birthday so far for Judge. That K pitch was middle middle. Should have slammed that one.

FB near middle, but Rizzo is late and under, pops to left, inning over. Bottom 3, 2-2
22 pitches for Rea in the 3rd, 48 through 3. Contreras, Adames and Hoskins for the Brewers in the 2nd.
2nd period over, 3-1 Rangers after two.

They may have pitched against each other, but Ni never started a game in the majors. Double-checking at Baseball Reference... Lee pitched in 4 games against the Tigers in 2009 and 2010, the two years Ni was with Detroit, but Ni didn't appear in any of the 4. On August 4 2009, Chris Ray of Baltimore and Ni both pitched in the eighth inning of a game in Detroit. However Ray came out with two outs in the top of the eighth and Ni came in with two outs in the bottom of the eighth, so they weren't directly facing off. But they did both pitch in the same inning. There may be something else out there, but life is too short for me to proceed further down that rabbit hole. That's OK, pip, I ran into the same "headache" earlier and gave up on it.

Contreras fell behind 0-2, but has forced 4 more pitches from Gil and worked the count back to 2-2. FB low makes it 3-2. FB inside middle, popped up right on top of home, more or less, Wells turns and backs a step or two toward the mound, catches. 1 down

Adames gets an 0-1 FB just outside middle, pops to Soto in shortish right, 2 down.

Change up and in, barely, 1-0 to Hosking Change in the zone low/away, 1-1 Change misses low near the outside corner, 2-1 FB just below middle middle, Hoskins is a bit late, but Hoskins inside outs it to right, Soto cuts it off and holds it to a 2 out single. No fast inning for Gil again.

Perkins up. Throw over. Hoskins has stolen 1 base without being caught so far this year.
Change outside, 1-0 FB high, 2-0 FB on the low inside corner, 2-1 FB down the middle, top of the zone, and Perkins jumps all over it, belts it out to right, 2 run HR makes it 4-2 Brewers. Just a bad 2-1 pitch in the middle up in the zone.

Mike Tyson's aphorism about "everybody's got a plan until they get hit" comes to mind right now, for no obvious reason. Gets ahead of Sanchez 1-2 Ahhhh, there's the Sanchez we know and low, Chases a bad slider outside by about 6 inches for the K.
Top 4, 4-2 Brewers. 22 pitches in the 3rd, 59 through 3 for Gil Torres, Verdugo and Cabrera for the Yanks in the 4th.

Even when he is pitching well, I'm not a fan of Gil's body language and mannerisms on the mound
