I barely remember his Yankee career. He was already toasted by the time he arrived… I remember I was a little excited that they picked him up. I knew he was struggling but I didn't know he was finished until I saw him hitting for the Yanks. Again flies open and leaves a slider up and away, 1-0 on Wiemer Fb inside corner foul tipped FB down the middle at 97, taken by Wiemer, they throw to 2nd to try to pick Ortiz, but he gets back. Another hellacious slider down and in gets the swing on the attempted check, but the HP ump says he swung. And he did. K, inning over. This is the best stuff Rodon has had this year, and it's not close. He looks almost back to what he was two years ago, what the Yanks though they had pirchased last year. Top 6, 7-1 Yanks. 18 pitches in the 5th, and 81 through 5. Outside shot to make it through 7 now, which would help the pen a lot. |

BYW: as soon as I learned of the lineup change I felt good about it. I can’t say I saw it coming, but I knew we needed to do something to shake things up. Nice job for the dog 🐕…

O's and Red Sox won big. Jays lost the to Dodgers again. Rays are 4-4 with the White Sox in the 5th.

Slider is inside, 2-1
Sinker misses outside 2-3 inches, called a strike anyway, 0% on Gameday, 2-2.
High slider popped foul out of play of 3rd.

Slider just outside middle, but Judge misses, fouls it off, 2-2.
Slider low in the zone, and even though he's slightly off balance, still belts it out to center almost one-handed, hits the railing above the wall, bounces back, 2 run HR makes it 9-1 Yanks!
