Sinker low outside corner for a strike Cutter inside, 1-1 Westburg leads way too soon, Schmidt steps off and throws a strike to Volpe for the PO-CS, 2 down. Slider on the low, outside corner, 1-2

Sinker at the knees at 95, marginal call, but it got a piece of the bottom. Cowser freezes on it, and ꓘ's to end the inning. Pitch was about 25-30% on Gameday so certainly good enough to get a call.
Top 3, 1-0 O's. Thanks to the pickoff-CS, just 14 pitches for Schmidt in the 2nd, and 36 through 2.
Grisham, Volpe and Soto for the Yanks in the 3rd.

Curve down and in, ball 1 to Grisham FB waist high, inner 3rd, Grisham takes, 1-1 FB at the top not called, 2-1. Grisham got a break on that call. Rutschmann held it. Change just inside of middle jams him a bit, he pops to Mullins in shortish right of center, 1 down.

Curve above the knees in the middle, 0-1 on Volpe Slider outside, 1-1 Change flipped high, 2-1 Got under that one. FB in almost the same spot, 3-1 Change floats inside 2-3 inches, Rutschmann tries to pull it back over subtly, but no sale, ball 4. Volpe walks.

That would have been out in Yankee Stadium. Only a single off the wall for Soto here.

Nifty quiet move by Rutschmann to try to steal the strike on Volpe...
Soto rifled the first pitch a hanging change midway up the wall in right, Santander plays the carom perfectly, Soto has to hold with a single, but Volpe reads it right and gets to 3rd with 1 down.

Slider low/away, FB up and in, 2-0 on Judge Change diving down fools Judge, swings over, 2-1 Good slider fools him a 2nd time, goes just outside, swing and a miss, 2-2 Two excellent pitches in a row.

Checks in time on the slider missing outside at the knees. Crowd boos for no reason, clearly ball 3 And completely fooled by the change diving low and away out of the zone, K, two. Big RISP fail by Judge.

Runners on 1st and 3rd, one out with Judge/Rizzo up -> no runs. Annoying.

FB outside to Rizzo No reason to give Rizzo anything good with Stanton on deck. If Rodriguez does, it's a mistake. Change waist high outside corner, Rizzo tries to go with it, grounds weakly to Urias, throws him out, inning over.
Bottom 3, 1-0 O's. 18 pitches for Rodriguez in the 3rd, 49 through 3.
Urias, Henderson and Rutschmann for the O's.
