Royals-Jays are 2-2 bottom 1 in Toronto.
O'Hearn takes a cutter high, then a slider that stays outside,
Sinker low and away, lined up the middle, deflects off Schmidt's side/rib cage, deflects to Cabrera who throws out O'Hearn. 1 down
They go out to check on him, but he's OK and stays in there.

Mountcastle...
Curve outside corner, 0-1
Slider low/away, 1-1
Hangs another cutter just above and outside middle middle, but Mountcastle is late, fouls it off. Bad pitch, but he got away with it.
Curve way low/outside, 2-2
Sinker inside eats him up, but he manages to foul it off.
No chance curve misses so far low/away that Wells can't keep it from going back to the screen, 3-2.

Cutter in the zone low/away, spoiled.
Well located slider on the low outside corner, makes Mountcastle lunge for it and he hits a high fly to right, easy play for Soto, inning over.
Mountcastle was not happy with that swing.
Top 5, 1-0 O's.
12 pitch 1-2-3 for Schmidt, 58 through 4.
In truth, Schmidt's pitched very well since the first three guys hit the ball hard off him.
Grisham leads off the 5th, then back to Volpe and Soto at the top.
