Baez, Rogers and Greene for the Tigers in the 7th.
1st pitch slider to Baez is a soft chopper toward the 56 hole, Cabrera cuts it off, throws him out, 1 down.

Rogers takes a sinker outside, then gets another one just below middle middle and grounds it through the open right side for a 1 out single.

Sinker just outside middle, he inside outs it over Cabrera into left for a hit. Rogers stops at 2nd with 1 out, and Hamilton is in trouble.

Tigers pen is 6th in the AL in ERA at 2.80, if anyone cares. They have 4 relievers having good/great seasons so far, including Foley, their closer who has 9 saves and a 1.32 ERA in 13 2/3 innings. Never been a bullpen built that couldn’t be beaten, even in MO’s bullpens… |

Is this team heading to shutout #6? Certainly feels that way. Other than Soto, the entire lineup has been prone to extended periods where they provide almost nothing. It's starting to feel like that fast start was more smoke and mirrors than anything of substance. Right now, these guys look like an 83-85 win team. Getting Cole back won't provide that much of a boost if the bats can't provide anything. That said, how much does the Brewers pitching suck? 30 runs in two games to these guys, lol. |
