Judge walks. The big two do their job. Let's see if anyone can drive them in. Not just anyone… 🐕…

I will be keeping an eye on the Rangers' game when I can as well as all the usual stuff, though I might have to leave the thread from time to time tonight to take care of a couple of things that have come up. In other hockey news....the Sharks won the NHL lottery and will have the first pick in the draft for the first time in history. For those who care about these things.

Rizzo fouls off a curve low. FB low makes 1-1 Chases another curve low 1-2 Takes a curve bounced outside, 2-2 Change low, Rizzo sees it and spits on it, 3-2 Change way low again, no chance to get a chase, ball 4.

Tucker crushes one. 1-0 Trashtros. We should be able to score a bunch of runs today! I know my baseball!

Slider winds up 4 inches outside, called strike 1 anyway. Bad miscall by Miller at home plate. Fouls off a slider on the outer 3rd, 0-2 Slider low and away, the first pitch call requires him to swing, and he goes with it, but the soft liner toward the 34 hole is caught by Altuve with a dive to his left.
Top 2, 3-1 Yanks 26 pitches in the 1st for Verlander Pena, Singleton and Caratini for the Astros. Rangers-Cano still 0-0 with about 11:00 left in the 1st period
I'll be back in a few minutes, got to take care of something.

I've always seen Verdugo as a placeholder. Need to rethink that...

I'm all in on Verdugo. Hard to believe he had issues in Boston, but he's been nothing but positive for the Yankees so far. What I remember from earlier in his career.

Yes I love Dugo. Need a guy with attitude and swagger.

Unfortunately we are going to lose someone like Dugo or Gleyber thanks to the gift that keeps giving Stanton.

What I like, after two innings against Verlander: zero Ks and no DPs
