Probably was waiting to see if it was going well outside.
Then swings over a curve dropping just below the knees for the K, 1 down.

Curve bounced over home, 2-2
At least the Yanks giving Gil sufficient rest and at least the 1 run so far.

Good spoil on the slider to the low outside corner, waited and fouled it off the right side.
FB up and in ties him up, his pop to right center is handled by Meyers. Inning over.
Top 4, 4-1 Yanks. 27 pitches for Verlander in the 3rd, 63 through 3, same as Gil.
