For those that never saw: Brooks Robinson, Clete Boyer, Graig Nettles could make the play Cabrera made and had enough are to get the runner. It was like magic… Not old enough to have seen Boyer play, but can vouch for the other two. For the Young'uns, look up World Series highlights of Brooks from 1970 vs. the Reds, and Nettles highlights in the Guidry start in game 3 of the 1978 World Series. Sometime when you have time, take a peek at the assist numbers for Boyer in B-R. They’re other-worldly. I only saw him a tiny bit before he was sent packing to the Braves… |

Judge takes a curve way low, 1-0
Then a slider way low and outside, 2-0
Cutter down the middle, but Judge misses and fouls it.
Another slider well low and outside, 3-1
Cutter waist high, inner 3rd and he lines it over 3rd into the corner in left for a 2 out double

Verdugo got a break on that one it was 60% on Gameday.

Gets a thigh high FB over the middle, doesn't take advantage, hits it pretty hard, but the grounder goes right to Pena just to the left side of 2nd, throws him out, inning over. 104 mph ground out.
Top 5, 5-1 Yanks.
17 pitches for Arrighetti in the 4th, 80 total. Rodon at 47 total through 4.
7-8-9 for the Astros; Diaz, Dubon and Meyers.

Leadoff HBP for Pena.
If you want to build a big inning for the Astros, that's how you start it, hit the #7 batter with a 1-2 slider on the bounce, leading off the inning.

Dubon fouls off a FB at the knees.
Takes a FB down the middle, 0-2
Fouls off a FB at the top in the middle.
Slider down and in, but not down or in enough, Dubon golfs it inside out to right, and the flare falls in front of Soto for a hit.
He holds up his glove to make Diaz freeze, but Diaz recovers and beats the throw to 2nd for force
Sooo...1-2 hit batter...0-2 bloop single.
We're one more unlucky result from setting up a big rally for Houston.

FB waist high away, topped softly to short, they get the force at 2nd, but Meyers beats the relay, which Torres didn't fire hard enough, Rizzo had to scoop the short hop.
1st and 3rd, 1 down for Altuve.
