Stroman's stuff is doing a lot of "leaking" this afternoon. It looks like Wells is trying to compensate for it with his target, but he's doing a lot of leaking into the strike zone, which isn't optimal.

Sinker low in the zone, Bregman misses a pitch he should do much more with, pops it to short right, Soto comes way in, catches a few steps from the infield, Diaz must hold, two down, and now the infield can move back for Diaz.

Slurve way outside, Diaz lunges and taps it to the right of the mound, Stroman fields and flips softly to Rizzo to kill the threat and get out of the inning.
Excellent job by Stroman working out of that jam. Can't fault his effort, he's battling best he can.

Patrolman's Benevolent Association I should have taken one more guess! … I still wouldn’t want to bowl against her though… You'd be fine bowling against her, unless she brings her off-duty with her. She's terrible at bowling. Usually, I let her and my stepson add their scores together if they want to try to bowl against me. |
