Slider outside, 1-0 Sinker starts outside, backs up and maybe catches the corner away, 1-1 Slurve way outside, Diaz lunges and taps it to the right of the mound, Stroman fields and flips softly to Rizzo to kill the threat and get out of the inning. Excellent job by Stroman working out of that jam. Can't fault his effort, he's battling best he can. I was VERY concerned with Stroman's attitude when the Yankees signed him. I've got to say, he's taken to being a Yankee pretty well. Can't fault the man. Just worried about his diminished stuff in this very tough division. Cabrera falls behind 1-2, then tries to go with a change away, back up the middle, Blanco knocks it down, chases it to his left, picks it up, then rushes the flip, misses way wide to the right field side, pulls Singleton off and Cabrera reaches safely, E-1 on Blanco. Scored a hit, to my surprise, maybe because he had to knock it down and chase.

Yankees get a clutch poor defensive play from Houston. Take advantage!…

I've got to wonder where the Astros found this Blanco guy. They signed him as a 23 year old out of the DR. Although he's a rookie, he's 30 years old already.

Volpe takes a slider for a strike, then a change inside, 1-1 FB up in the zone, and Volpe LeMahieu's it, the high fly to right is just fair and just into the 1st or 2nd row of the Porch, 2 run cheapie makes it a 1 run game, 3-2 Astros.

Volpe gets one of those HR in 1 of 30 stadium shots, but they all count! 3-2

Volpe's 5th HR: 98.2 mph, 330 feet, 42 degree launch angle, a HR in 4 (???) of 30 parks? Really? Wow.

Soto gets ahead, 2-1, then grounds a slider inside corner hard to 1st. Singleton spears it, flips to Blanco, 1 down. Soto's grounder about 5 1/2 mph harder than Volpe's HR. Oh, well.

Great take on the 2-2 by Judge, and for once the umpire doesn't call it.
