So.....………..speaking of hypotheticals....if the Mets were willing to trade Syndergard, and demanded Frazier and Deivi Garcia, would you make that trade if you were Cashman? Depends, would the Mets tossed in SEVEN Bi-Sexual DROP DEAD Beautiful Gals between the ages of 21-28 years old? If so, SORRY Frazier, liked you a lot, but.... I’m thinking Cashman’s wife might void that trade. If he overrides her and keeps the trade, she winds up with the house (and more). He knows that, so no deal... |

No. Noah hasn’t stayed healthy long enough, and now is pitching below expectations. I wouldn’t give them Garcia in that deal... To be honest, despite the age difference, I’d rather have De Grom...Might do Garcia even up if De Grom can be extended...I’d want certain short term quality in exchange for the potential quality of Deivi... there certainly is a lot of hype about Deivi…..I think it would take Frazier and Garcia to interest the Mets....It seems like a fairly even trade to me, and I would do it....potential is great, but unfulfilled potential is far too common...…. |

Of course there is no discussion of the Twins need for pitching in spite of their even poorer performance vs. the Yankees. Apparently they have enough pitching to win the World Series, even though the Yankees are 😷 sick... I don't think either MN or the Yankees will win a WS based on their pitching. If they win it will be a world class offense and pretty good defense.

The Yankees have a clear path to a ring this year, and I'm in favor of any move for a first-tier pitcher that puts them closer to that goal. I just don't think Syndergaard moves the needle enough the way he is pitching now.
DeGrom is a different story, but I can't imagine any realistic scenario where the Mets deal him to the Yankees or anybody else. For him the Mets could have any three prospects they want IMO, because then you're looking at serious matchups against Verlander or Morton or Kershaw/Ryu. etc.
Cashman has shown enough wizardry that we have to believe that if there is any humanly possible way to pull off a trade of such magnitude, he is the guy to do it. But it's hard to envision.
