Boone might have left him in there if Yanks had a bigger lead.

That's how Inger likes it.

If anyone besides me didn't know, Yanks sent Marinaccio back to AAA despite his good pitching lately, and kept Tonkin on the staff to activate Burdi. Reason: Marinaccio has options left and doesn't have to pass through waivers and Tonkin doesn't Helluva way to run a railroad, ain't it? Schmidt done at 87 pitches and 6 2/3 innings.

Fb at 95 at the knees, but in a bad spot, Palacios takes it for a strike. Slider stays waist high inner half, but Palacios misses under, fouling it off. FB misses up and away, Paredes goes for 2nd, and although Flats is bragging on Trevino's arm, the throw is late, the tag missed and they get him CS because he overslides 2nd by like, feet, and Volpe goes back to tag him for the 3rd out.
Eh, I'll take it. Top 8, 1-0 Yanks.
Judge, Verudgo and Stanton for the Yanks in the 8th.
Knic down 81-77 with 3:45 left in the 3rd quarter.
