Volpe sees Miranda deep at 3rd, bunts the 1st pitch down 3rd, Miranda barehands and makes the throw, but Volpe beats it for a bunt single, bringing up Soto with 1st and 2nd, 2 outs.

Smart play by Volpe to get Soto up there for the 4th time with 2 on and 2 outs.
Change in the zone, low near middle, 0-1
Change low/outside, 1-1
Curve in the zone away, but he tries to pull it, rolls over to Farmer, easy play, inning over.
Sigh. Was expecting Volpe's smart play to pay off, but Soto tried to do too much with the curve away from him.
Bottom 5, 5-1 Yanks.
18 pitches for Paddack in the 5th, 95 total so far.
Martin leads off the Twins' 4th, then back to the top for Jeffers and Correa.

Martin tries to copy Volpe, gets a FB near middle on the first pitch, tries to push bunt to the right side of the mound, fouls it off.
Curve way down and in, 1-1
FB flies open misses up and away at the top, 2-1
Fb in the zone low/away, Correa puts a good swing on it, but his fliner goes right to Judge in center, 1 down.

Backdoor slider to the outside corner, 0-1 on Jeffers
Rushes and flies open again on the FB misses outside at the top at 96, 1-1
Good slider down and in gets a swing over, 1-2
Bounces the slider over home, and Jeffers chases for the K. Wells catches the bounced pitch and tags him to complete the out, 2 down.

Slider down and in, Correa stops but checked in time, says the 1st base ump
Fb inside near the top, fouled.
Leaves a slider down the middle, and Correa cracks it on a line to left, but near to Verdugo that his backhand catch is followed by a needless slide to end the inning.
Another 1-2-3 for Rodon, this time on 15 pitches. 88 through 5, and he might just make it through 6 innings now.

Judge, Verdugo and Stanton for the Yanks.
Knic up by 15 at the half, 69-54. It was as much as an 18 pt lead.
