Sinker waist high just inside middle should be smashed, but Correa pops it to Cabrera. What in the wide wide world of sports is goin' on here?

Cutter high to Castro..1-0 Splitter waist high outer 3rd, fouled, 1-1 Cutter right down the middle, and Castro doesn't do enough with it, hits a sharp grounder back to Stroman, who fields his position well as usual, throws him out, inning over. Yanks give Lopez a 5 pitch 1-2-3...Twins return the favor with their own 5 pitch 1-2-3. 91 pitches through 6 for Stroman now. Bizarre play by both teams that inning. Top of the order for the Yanks, Volpe, Soto and Judge.

I’ve been keeping an eye on my muted TV set for an about 2-3 innings. I got a phone call from my 80 year sister, who informed me that my 75- year old sister in law has passed away today. Her husband passed about 12 years ago.
I called both of her sons, one via VM and the other answered his phone…
She was surprisingly energetic, quite heathy so it came as a surprise. My nephew was a MD DNR officer and lived in PA, so wasn’t allowed to take his police vehicle out of state, so he parked at her house in the mornings and switched cars there every work day.
Ironically it was his last day of work, retired today, and stopped at her house. She didn’t answer at the door. He could see she had been out planting flowers. He went on and found her in the bath tub, already gone.
Apparently an aneurysm… Hell of away to find you mom…
Anyway… for the rest of us… life goes on…

Late from work. Thanks for posting the Judge home run, CHI. That was fun to watch. Looks like Stroman has rebounded and turned in a good start. Yankees letting the Twins hang around it appears.

Stroman coming out after 6, looks like Volpe checks on a slider outside and low, 1-0 Sinker thigh high, middle, taken, 1-1 FB thigh high in the zone down and in, taken 1-2, it's too late to get Stroman some rest, Volpe, he's coming out of the game. FB down the middle, grounded to short, Correa moves to his left, picks it up, throws him out, 1 down.

Pitching change for the Twins Funderburk in for Lopez, who's done at 96 pitches and 6 1/3 innings.

Lopez throws up a quality start despite a lot of Yankee traffic on the base paths. I thought we were going to chew him up… Not too surprised at Stroman because the signs were there early that he was one today. Hard hit balls, yes, but not squared up and quick outs (in the first) and somehow Houdini’ing the second…

Soto up next. Had a terrible time with Lopez... Maybe it will be different with a new pitcher
