Julks has never faced Ferguson before, either.
Fouls off a FB near the corner away.
FB in the zone just above and inside middle, Julks jams himself a bit, and the medium fliner to right goes to Soto, who takes a couple of steps to his right and catches, getting the Yanks out of the inning.
Bottom 8, 4-2 Yanks.

Stanton leads off, Rizzo and Torres to follow
Takes a slider well low/away, 1-0
Takes a slider with a lot of break, but in a bad location, just outside middle, 1-1
FB up in the zone, Stanton starts a bit late, but almost got to it, fouls it off to the right side, 1-2
Back to the slider. And he does...way out of the zone, Stanton tries to check, but the 1st base ump rings him up, K, 1 down.

Stanton steps into the box with a .802 OPS. BAVG at .250, even after the K. Considerably better than I thought he'd do this season, I was hoping for .230-..235 with 25 HR. Sox change pitchers again, bring the lefty Hill for Rizzo. Hill also with a weird line. ERA is excellent and he hasn't allowed a HR yet, but 6 K and 6 BB with 18 hits in 14 1/3 innings. Almost exclusively a FB, probably a sinker, 93% at about 90 mph. Sidearmer, too. Occasional slider at 81. |

Rizzo was bailing a bit, and he doesn't bail on any lefty.
Sinker low, 2-0
Sinker inner 3rd, fouled
Sinker up and in, popped into no man's land in left center and Benintendi and Pham stare at it and each other, plops in for a 1 out single

Trevino will PH for Wells with 1st and 2nd, 1 down.
