FB just high over the outer 3rd, 2-0
FB waist high, inside corner, 2-1
FB misses just low, Trevino pulls it up, gets the call, Sheets complains, then the White Sox dugout jumps in.
They're right about that last pitch. 2-2
FB in the zone low/away, fouled off. That one was at 99.7.
FB just above the top of the zone, foul tipped into the mitt for the K.
Strikes out the side for the 2nd straight inning, this time on 17 pitches. 79 through 5.
Note that they didn't give Pham a FB in a hittable spot, and got him with the change that looked like a FB inside corner on release by Gil.

Glad to see Gil taking charge after the 1st inning. The Chicago announcers are going crazy with the umpire's strike zone. They have already call him the worse umpire in the league.
Six Ks in a row didn't help. Maybe the Yanks can score a few more runs in the 5th !!!!

Severino had essentially the same stuff when he came up and better control, but his FB was much straighter, and he couldn't just fire it almost anywhere to get swings and misses. That's the difference. But really, we have to see Gil do this to good hitting teams.
Soto, Judge and Verdugo for the Yanks in the 5th.

Soto takes a curve in the drop the bat happy zone for a strike.
No matter, because he gets a sinker almost in the same spot, and hits it to Yonkers. Deep blast just to the right of the main bleachers makes it 6-1 Yanks. Soto's 2nd HR of the game, the Yankees 4th makes it 6-1 Yanks!!
