There’s no way they can let this kid walk in FA. Would be easily Top 5 biggest mistake in Yankees history

I think 10 years one billion would be a reasonable offer. Or 15 years, 2 billion…

Judge... Slider low, ball 1 Slider low, ball 2 Change misses outside 2-3 inches, not close, called a strike anyway. White Sox not arguing that one, 2-1 Swings over a change down and in, 2-2 Slider low, 3-2 Takes his timeout, then takes a change low, ball 4.
And that's all for Keller, Soroka the former starter basically blasted out of the Sox' rotation, comes on in relief.
Soto's 11th HR and 2nd of the game, 110.2 mph, 437 feet, 31º launch angle, a HR in 46 of 30 MLB parks.

Glad to see Gil taking charge after the 1st inning. The Chicago announcers are going crazy with the umpire's strike zone. They have already call him the worse umpire in the league. Six Ks in a row didn't help. Maybe the Yanks can score a few more runs in the 5th !!!! lol, he's not even the worse umpire on this crew.

Can anyone actually see Soto leaving the Yankees to go to the Mets even for a little more? LOL what a joke. He was made for Pinstripes.

Slider in the middle taken, 0-1 Fb outside corner, taken, 0-2 Change just low 1-2 Change 3 inches lower than the last one, taken, 2-2 Tries to jump a slider in the drop the bat happy zone down and in, but Verdugo is early pulls it foul down the right side. Beats Verdugo clean with a FB at 97 just above middle middle, K, 1 down.
If Soroka can throw 97, why is he getting blasted? Maybe his velo is up with the move to relief.

Severino had essentially the same stuff when he came up and better control, but his FB was much straighter, and he couldn't just fire it almost anywhere to get swings and misses. That's the difference. But really, we have to see Gil do this to good hitting teams. Soto, Judge and Verdugo for the Yanks in the 5th. Inger always railed against Sevy's straight fastball. Severino also never had a change-up like Gil's. Also, Severino couldn't control his emotions when things started to go bad. Gil takes that emotion, bottles it under the surface and battles.
