Or maybe they don't want to run themselves out of an inning with Soto on deck
Runner does go, and Volpe gets a slider in the zone low/away taps a soft grounder to Short, DeJong throws out Volpe as Berti gets to 2nd with 2 down.
And obviously, White Sox should pitch around Soto here, even if Judge is white hot.

Slider in the drop the bat happy zone down and in, but Soto misses, fouls it 1-2
Fouls off a thigh high FB near the outside corner,
Change bounced inside, 2-2
FB above and outside middle, Soto fouls it off.
Well, it almost looked like the White Sox would get away with pitching to Soto, but he gets a slider outside middle, and smacks it through the right side for a RBI single, Berti scores and it's 4-1 Yanks!
