Beats him with a FB outside by 2-3 inches, but the call on the 1-0 forces him to chase and miss.
K, inning over.
Yanks get two on the Porch cheapie by Judge that ended Flexen's day.
The Yanks two HRs today barely made 700 feet combined, but are still good for 5 runs and the 7-2 lead, and also making Flexen mutter to himself about "bleep skit homers". Or something like that.
Top 6, 7-2 Yanks.
Rodon back out there to face Jimenez, DeJong and Julks

As he did last time up, Jimenez goes after a 1st pitch FB near middle, but tops this one to Volpe, throws him out, 1 down.

Takes a FB further outside, 1-1
Chases a bad change way low, 1-2
Swings over a 95 FB at the knees in the middle for the K, 2 down.

Humps up to 98, waist high, outside corner and blows it by Lee, 0-1
Emptying the tank.
FB 98 in the zone up and in, swung under, 0-2
FB 97 outside corner waist high, blown right by him again. Lee whiffs to end the inning and almost certainly end Rodon's afternoon.
98, 98, 97 all in the zone, good morning, good afternoon, good night (and probably, good bye)
Bottom 6, 7-2 Yanks
10 pitch 1-2-3 and Rodon will finish at 99 pitches for today.
Trevino, Berti, then back to the top for Volpe for the Yanks in the 6th.

Rodon didn't seem to be getting that Cole Method thing his first few starts this year, but he's got it down pretty good now.

Hanging slider above the zone, lined to deep left, Julks goes back, times his leap, and robs Trevino of another HR. Great play by Julks, who pumps his first in celebration.

FB runs inside, jams Berti, but his bloop over 2nd gets over Remillard's over the shoulder try for a cheap single to follow his cheap HR

Forgot to mention Wilson came in to relieve Hill. Wilson also pitched Friday.
Misses a FB inside middle, swung under it trying to pull for power, 1-2

Slider dives a bit low over the middle, late slap swing barely spoils it, still 1-2
