Ah well. Despite being at the game for the elimination game, It was a fun season. Just too many injuries in the end. And the pacers shooting an nba playoff record 67.1% in game 7. Now I can focus my attention fully on the Yankees at least! Well said. The Knicks fought back, that's a credit to them and to their coach. Coming into the series the Pacers had the speed advantage, once Robinson got hurt, then OG got hurt, that gave the Pacers the speed, height, and bench advantage. After Game 5 the Pacers made an adjustment and used their height advantage against the Knicks.
It will be interesting to see with the Knicks do in free agency and what they do with their 2 first round draft choices. If they can make a fair trade, it would be great if they can trade for Booker.

Championships are the icing on the cake, but bottom line for me, that's what it's all about.

How much fun would it be if the Yanks won the WS every year? 2000 WS win over Mets can't compare to the excitement of '77 or '96.

Man, I've never seen a team with so many injuries as the Knicks this year. Our physical style of play along with Thibs short rotations does not mix well. Hopefully the crazy amount of injuries this year forces Thibs hands into a TRUE 8 man regular season rotation. There is a reason we lost 3 players in one series. Wow. If we don't win our game 7 might be a good thing for next year. Our team is looking like a Brunson plus a good bench unit. Don't want more injuries.
The reason why they lost 3 players in 1 series is because that stuff happens. Thibs didn't have much of a choice. If he gave his bench players anymore minutes it's very likely the Knicks lose to the 76ers.
We are beyond any other team re injuries. When you play a physical style, you need rotations like the Pacers. I’m talking starting in the regular season. When your coach is voted least likely to want to play for by players, might want to look closer. We are a very physical team. “Stuff happens” = “because”, that doesn’t help. Our injuries warrant a further look, not “It’s bad luck.” We are talking continual coincidences re injuries. It is now old and warrants a resolution. A Pacer like rotation in the regular season would be nice.

Granted, maybe he can rest his starters a little more often. But Thibs is a good coach, I wouldn't want any players playing for the Knicks that have a problem with any coach.
The Knicks under Thibs are in shape, they are prepared, they play good defense, and they give their coach 100%. They have 2 1st round picks this Draft, so maybe that gives their bench a little more depth which would make it easier for Thibs to rest his starters a little more. That is, if they don't add those picks in a trade for a very good player. Devin Booker?

Just like Indiana's style of play (doesn't injure.) But they both are taxing, just in different ways. They are running and we are being extremely physical and playing very very tight defense. But Indian has better rotations and no one flinches at that. But our physical style - That is exhausting. You don't have to look tired, it just takes a toll on you. I've played quite a bit of sports and those late game times often have "freak" injuries because we are not at peak, a bit more exhausted, etc. We had soooo many injuries and to say it is just chance is a bit ignorant in the sense that the FO should have a closer look. I just want us to extend the rotations. Thibs goes 9 deep and that is relatively good. But he can cut a little bit of the starters minutes. Actually, I think this is going to happen anyway, because if this season was any indication, when Julius and everyone is healthy, we are going to dominate most teams and Thibs will most likely pull starters sooner (when we have big leads.) Ideal scenario is he leaves them in of course against the top teams, then we are both mentally and physically ready for the playoffs. I look forward to drafting a player or two for (most likely) 2 years from now. LOL, not being sarcastic, that is Thibs, but our young guys are generally very prepared.

For Kaybli - I would term this devolution of the rules. Nevertheless, this guy does a good job of describing how things have changed and why many of us no longer watch the game.

In my opinion, with their draft picks, their trades, and re-signing OG, the Knicks won Draft day.
I like Robinson, but would like to see the Knicks trade Robinson and re-sign Harteinstein.

WOW! It would have been nice if the Knicks didn't have to trade Randle and DiVincenzo. But they had to give to get. What the Knicks got was an ELITE CENTER!

Congratulations to the 2024 WNBA Champion NY Liberty. They will get a much deserved ticker-tape parade down the Canyon of Heroes on Thursday.
