Verdugo... Sinker misses just outside, 0% on Gameday, called strike 1, but at least that one was close. Sinker near the inside corner, taken 0-2 Change dives low, Verdugo chases for the K, 1 down.

It's really interesting how many times in the past Boone pulled starters at 4.2 innings at similar pitch counts - especially Jordan Montgomery - but Poteet gets to finish the inning. I don't think Boone trust the middle relievers the Yankees currently have.

Double plays are the fly in the Yankees' ointment this season.

Rizzo... change low, 1-0 Sinker down the middle, 1-1 Sinker misses 4-5 inches inside, called strike 2 anyway, not close. Is there a school these umps go to to learn how to miss repeated calls badly? FB off the corner away, chased and fouled Same pitch almost the exact same spot, same result Winker down and in, rolled over to Wisely, who starts an easy 4-6-3 DP to end the inning.
Bottom 6, 4-3 Yanks, and this one starts to take on the odor of a late, blown loss.
11 pitch 1-2-3 for Webb, and 95 through 6.
Hamilton in to pitch the 6th for the Yanks, he'll face Flores, Bailey and Chapman, 2-3-4 for the Giants in their 6th.

Flores... Sinker at the knees, 0-1 Slider outside, Flores checks in time, 1-1 Good change/slider dives low near the corner away, swung over, 1-2 Takes his timeout. Slider too far outside to even draw a tough look, much less a chase, 2-2 Slider way low/away, no chance for a chase on that one, either, 3-2 Slider not too low, so even though it winds up about 6 inches outside, he DOES get Flores to chase for the K, 1 down.

It seems to me that lately the Yankee's announcers forget about the game and just talk about "stuff"... Like right now..
