It's just accepted Stanton does not have to hustle to avoid getting hurt.

I don't think I've ever seen a first baseman as far over to the left as Santana in that Gleyber AB. Yea I was wondering about that.

Cabrera swings over a change low/away, 0-1 Takes a change low in the middle,1-1 Takes a slider down and in, 2-1 Change misses well up and away, 3-1 Gets a FB above the knees in the drop the bat happy zone, drops the bat on it, hammers a fliner to deep right, and Kepler barely gets back to it and catches it with a jump near the track. Inning over.
Top 4 5-2 Yanks.
34 pitches for Lopez in the 3rd, and 74(!!) through 3 innings. 5-6-7 for the Twins in the 4th, Castro, Miranda and Santana.

I feel like we have more sac flies this year than all of the last couple of years LOL Seems that way... Wells' sac fly was the Yanks 23rd this year, they lead the AL. Had just 36 all of last year, and 41 in the "good" year of 2022.

Castro takes a sinker outside, 1-0 Slider in the zone low/awayk, taken, 1-1 Sinker at the top, swung on and missed, 1-2 FB inside hits him on the leg.

I felt certain we were getting Kepler a few years back. Pretty decent with the glove…hasn’t hit like he looked like he would…Keep him, Twins…

Miranda... Sinker above midle, swing and a miss, 0-1 Cutter outside, 1-1 Slider below the cutter chased, and missed, 1-2 Slider near middle, runner goes, lined to right, Soto makes a smart play, fakes like he can catch it, makes Castro hold up at 2nd, plays it on the hop, barely, and throws into 2nd, holding Castro 3rd. Hit and run single to right is almost always 1st and 3rd, but not that time.

Farmer... Stroman comes set, then steps off Slider 3-4 inches below the corner away, ball 1 Cutter in the middle above the knees, lifted to medium deep center, easy play for Brisham, he catches and Castro tags and goes to 3rd with 2 down. Now the nemesis Vazquez...

Castro is soooo bad and inexperienced in CF. I can’t understand why he’s not covering a corner…

It's just accepted Stanton does not have to hustle to avoid getting hurt. We want those homers… I just love gritty ball players. I want someone out giving 100% and leaving it all out there. I just can't root for a guy that is content with not playing or giving 100%.

Sinker below the inside corner, taken 1-0 Cutter in the zone down and in, Vazquez tries to golf it, but misses under. The popup near 3rd is easily handled by Cabrera, inning over. Another great job by Stroman wiggling out of the jam, aided by Soto's flim-flam job on Castro on the hit-and-run single to right.
Bottom 4, 5-2 Yanks. 15 pitches for Stroman in the 4th and 62 total so far.
Grisham, then back to the top for Volpe and Soto.
