Yankees at Fenway? Verdugo is going to get lambasted. I hope he enjoys it. I’d have a ball with it if it was me… unless some jerk hit me with a battery…

Oh man, you must have been saving that one up for years! Yeah. Gotta give props or that one. I took off, today. Lots of sleep. Well rested for repartee.

Cabrera... Slider on the outer 3rd, taken, 9-1 Cutter inside, 1-1 Back door curve barely misses away, 2-1 FB at the bottom in the middle, taken, 2-2 Takes his timeout Curve at the knees outer half, spoiled Sinker in the zone down and in, tries to golf it and swings under for the K, 1 down.

Slurve in the middle drops into the top of the zone, strike 1.' Sinker in the middle above the knees, hit hard past Lugo but hits the mound, hops high, making it easier for Loftin to backhand and throw him out, 2 down.

Volpe was up to .299 BA not long ago. In a little funk right now.

Torres misses a hittable slider, smacks it foul off of his foot, 0-1 Slurve way outside, 1-1 Cutter into the top outside corner, Torres is early and under, 1-2 Same pitch a bit lower, he pulls off this one for the K, inning over.
Bottom 7, 4-0 Yanks.
17 pitches for Lugo in the 7th, and at 101 total, his night is probably over. 2-3-4 for the Royals: Witt, Jr. Perez and Velazquez.
Watch Rodon carefully here, the pitchcount isn't high, but he's crashed out in the 7th the last two starts.

Volpe was up to .299 BA not long ago. In a little funk right now. 3 for 23 in his last 5 games, and they're still early enough in the season that a stretch like that can drop the average 20-30 points.

Witt... Curve low in the middle, 1-0 Slider in more or less the same spot, 2-0 FB near the first two, also low, 3-0 FB in the zone down and in, taken, 3-1 FB just below and outside middle at 97, Witt a bit late and under, pops it foul down the right side, Jones takes a bit of a roundabout route, staggers a bit at the end, but catches, 1 down. Jones not looking sure of himself in right, tonight.

Perez... FB outside fouled off, 0-1 FB well up and away, 1-1 FB up in the zone in the middle, fouled off. FB above and outside middle, fouled Rodon challenging Perez with FB after FB... And that's why, I guess. Curve to the inside corner ties him up a bit, he fists a fly toward the corner in left, drops in front of Verdugo for a one out single.
