Soto misses a waist high cutter on the corner away.
Change to the same area tails just outside, but Soto lays off, 1-1
Change drops to the knees outer half, and even though Soto doesn't like it, it's a strike. 1-2, 60% on Gameday

Change tails well outside, misses by 8 inches away, 2-2
Cutter misses just low on the inner 3rd, and whatever chance he had to get that call was eliminated by missing location by the entire plate, 3-2
Change dives way low over the middle, foul tipped into the mitt for a K, inning over. Chased ball 4, maybe influenced by the correct 1-1 call on a change at the bottom of the zone.
Yanks get 1, leave two on; lead 1-0, going top 3. This time, Suarez had to work a bit. 25 pitches in the 2nd, 39 through 2.

More then likely Rice being from Massachusetts, there is a good chance his family are Red Sox fans. I wonder if it pains them to dress in Yankees regalia to root for Ben..lol

Slider winds up in a very bad spot, right down the middle, Rutchman takes a HR hack, but misses, fouling it off.
Swings over a change near the outside corner, waist high, 1-2
Back leg slider bounced, Rutschman spits on it, 2-2
FB misses 3 inches low near the inside corner, 3-2

Cutter outside middle Rutschman grounds it sharply, but right to DJ, throws him out, 2 down.

Is it my imagination or is he getting away with a lot of pitches in and around the middle of the zone?
