Interesting how both these last two series they won the first game fairly easily but couldn't stop the bleeding in the last two of either series. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk We were a couple of stupid Trevino throws and a retaliatory beaning away from a series win here. So let’s not overreact. I'm not just saying both series everytime it looked like they were about to take control of the game the other team would add on a couple like they just couldn't pin them down when needed. I still standby the Yankees and orioles are probably the only good two teams in the Al at this point. Guardians record is inflated by the terrible central and Seattle is very up and down. DJ swings over a cutter down and in, 0-1 Cutter above middle, hit well, but the fliner carries to Mullins right of center, 2 down.

But they still made excellent picks. Qwik wrote that very thing, with which I concurred. And, I concur again here. As Girardi said...making draft picks in baseball is much tougher than any other sport. Well known there's a huge jump from even AAA to ML.

Trevino takes a cutter down and in, 1-0 Cutter up in the zone, hit decently to center, but an easy play for Mulliins, game over.
They came to play this "weekend", Coney? What time zone are you in?
O's win 17-5. Not much to say, they dominated this one wire-to-wire. Outscroed the Yanks 9-3 in the first 3 innings, 4-2 in the middle innings and 5-0 the last 3.

Could feel a beat down like this brewing. Kinda rather take a beat down than last night's game or Game 4 vs Royals.

Welp, first taste of real adversity this season. Let's see how they react against ATL.

Yanks lose their 5th in the last 7, and that big run differential is melting fast; they've been outscored the last 7 games, 33 to 48. Yanks fall back to 25 games over .500 for the 1st time since June 9, and the lead is down to 1/2 game, probably to be lost over the weekend, maybe for good.

Could feel a beat down like this brewing. You called it early today. Yeah, unfortunately. With the way we've been pitching lately, especially our of the bullpen, and facing this lineup, it just felt like a powderkeg.

Welp, first taste of real adversity this season. Let's see how they react against ATL. After this, do you really care? The Yankees can't beat AL East teams, especially the Orioles. They could win every other games in every other division and still will not win the AL.

Qwik wrote that very thing, with which I concurred. And, I concur again here. As Girardi said...making draft picks in baseball is much tougher than any other sport. Well known there's a huge jump from even AAA to ML. And, they have to stay healthy. Lot of luck involved there. There are 50 Clint Fraziers and Greg Birds for every Mountcastle and Gunnar Henderson.

Do i feel particularly bullish about their chances in October as currently constructed? Not at all. But it's June, and there's plenty of time to make moves. I don't close up shop after a rough few games.
