Soto... Takes a FB high, 1-0 A cutter is 3 inches high, inner half, called a strike anyway, bad call, 0% on Gameday, not close, 1-1 Change misses well low, outside corner, 2-1 Takes a change on the corner away, waist high, 2-2 Misses a change thigh high in the middle of the zone, K, 2 down.

Honestly this is just laughable. Can't even be mad or frustrated. Everything is going wrong for this team.

Judge... Slurve on the outside corner taken, 0-1 Slurve inner 3rd, freezes him, 0-2 Change inside fouled Sinker on the corner inside, fouled. Sinker in the zone down and in, crushable, but he's late and under, fouled off.
Re: what Flats said about the team fighting back when buried early in the game. Yeah, but, not if the starting pitching is burying 5-6-7 runs down, game after game after game. Why should the hitters fight if the starters won't?
Sinker just outside, taken, 1-2 Slurve below the zone in the middle, grounded to Falefa, inning over. Volpe Soto Judge...K, K, soft groundout. WPA has this one correct, whatever the actual WPA is right now.
Bottom 3, 8-0 Jays, and I remind everyone, Berrios is the ONE Jays starter the Yanks acrually hit. 16 pitch 1-2-3 for Berrios and 47 through 3.
Kirk, Clement and back to the top for Bichette to get his 3rd at bat in 3 innings.

Honestly this is just laughable. Can't even be mad or frustrated. Everything is going wrong for this team. It’s all stemming from the starting pitching (specifically Gil and Rodon). 1) Opposing pitchers settle in with an early lead making it tough for a shorthanded offense 2) Bullpen is getting tired 3) Bad relief pitchers have to pitch more Gil and Rodon need to be replaced ASAP or this season is shot.

I hope after the game no one asks Boone if he sees this season as a mirror to 2022, because they might have a chair thrown at them! The truth hurts.

Kirk... FB high, 1-0 Fb hits the outside corner up in the zone, fouled, 1-1 Fouls off a curve down and in, 1-2 Takes a FB just below middle for the ꓘ, have no idea what Kirk was looking for on that one, 1 down.

I think this is not counting today:
I remain completely baffled by this. I don't think anyone expected them to pitch at the level all year, some regression was certainly expected, but to go from the best pitching staff in the league to probably the worst practically overnight? WTF, man?

Can't argue with any of that. Clement... Change gets a piece of the corner away, 0-1 FB waist high, inner 3rd, Fouled Change down and in, fouled FB high above middle, chased and fouled Slider stays outside up in the zone, chases for a K. 4 K's in a row for Rodon...WHOOP DE DAMM DOO.

This is starting to look like 2023 all over. Only difference is we had a better start to the season. The issues that hurt us last year still exist. Watching guys like Rodon is depressing. Same goes for Torres. So tired of his attitude and annual funk. He needs a change in scenery. Add is the annual Rizzo injuey as well as Stanton. You can bank on this happening. Stanton won't be back until August sometime and then will spend 3 weeks clueless at the plate being off balance and swinging at balls 2 feet out of strike zone.

Bichette... Chases a high slider, 0-1 Chases a low change, 0-2 Takes a slider even higher and further outside, 1-2 Cutter on the corner away, tapped to 3rd, Cabrera with a nifty barehand pickup and throw, gets Bichette. First time the Yanks looked like a major league team tonight.
Top 4, 8-0 Jays. 13 pitch 1-2-3 for Rodon, and 76 through 3. Verdugo, Rice and Jones for the Yanks in the 4th.

2022 they made the AL Championship. Right now this team is looking like one of the worst in MLB. They don't even have positives to draw on. Boone should be ripping a$$ not being players older brother.
