great strategy by tonkin. throw a wild pitch and trevino gets the runner trying to score then Ks varsho to end the inning. brilliant pitching as usual by tonkin.

FB even further outside at the top, but he chases for the K. Maybe he though it was the slider for the backdoor, I dunno. I'll take it.
Jays get 2 and that might be enough.
3-1 Jays, going top 6.
Jones, then back to the top for Volpe and Soto for the Yanks in the 6th.

didn't care for stroman's antics there. certainly victimized by some soft contact, but can't pin in on the fielders by also by his lack of command. I don't think he was pinning any thing on the defense, but rather lucky soft hits by Toronto |

Jones gets a FB just above middle middle on the 1st pitch, jammed a bit, hits a flare over Horwitz into right for a leadoff single.

Volpe gets a slow curve above middle, pushes a perfect bunt past Kikuchi, falling off toward 3rd, beats him to the bag, giving Guerrero nothing to do but eat the ball on a bunt single. 1st and 2nd, nobody out for Soto. Smart play by Volpe, well executed.

Slider bounced outside, Jansen saves a WP with a good scramble.
Soto takes a curve 3 inches low in the middle, 2-0
Kikuchi comes set, then steps off.
FB maybe got the very bottom of the zone outer half, but Soto gets the Soto call, 3-0
10-15% on Gameday.
Gets the green light 3-0, and I guess his hand is OK, because he jumps all over a waist high FB on the inner 3rd, belts it well out to right, Yanks take a 4-3 lead!!!
