🧢 off.
🫡🇺🇸
Multiple bronze stars for James C. Krupp!
If that doesn’t start the offense, what will?…

Dunn... Slider taken on the corner inside, 0-1 Slider outside 1-1 Repeats the first slider almost exactly, topped sharply to DJ at 3rd, he fields the hard hop, throws him out, inning over. Bottom 7, 3-0 Reds.
Tonkin gives the Yanks a good 1 2/3, keeping them in the game. 7-8-9 for the Yanks: LeMahieu, Jones and Trevino in the 7th.

It's pretty easy. They were great for 70 games, way above their true level, and regression to the mean is hitting hard now. I said they were an 85-90 win team before the season, and they may wind up above that by starting so hot, but not all that far above now. If the freefall continues and we have another failed season with a $300mm payroll, Cash has to pay the price.....right? As I said at the old place just before they pulled the plug, I was OK if they let Cashman go after last season, and that was after defending him for years and years. He gambled big, trading half a pitching staff for Soto, gambled big on Rodon. If the moves don't work this season, again, I would not be unhappy if they moved on from him.

Maybe they will "promote" him and get another GM.

Abbott stays in to start the 7th. DJ takes a FB high in the middle, 1-0 FB misses outside near the top by 2-3 inches, called strike 1 anyway. 0% on Gameday, not close. Curve into the zone below and outside middle, rolled over to 3rd, Marte thrwos him out, 1 down. Throw pulled Candelario off, but he tags DJ coming in.

FB misses down and in, 3-0 Takes a FB on the corner inside thigh high, 3-1 Fb thigh high middle, pulled to over 3rd into the corner for a 1 out double. Yay.

What's sad, is at this point, Jones is a better hitter than Davis and DJ.

Jahmai Jones double!
This is their chance with Soto and Judge coming up in a few batters!
Trevino or Volpe have to get on.

It's possible that both he and Randy Levine know "where the bodies are buried" on the Stadium deal or something else. But in terms of baseball operations, 25 years is more than enough for one man.

It'll be Wells pinch hitting for Trevino.

Cutter misses well down and in, ball 1 FB misses high on the outer half, 2-0 on Wells. Let him walk you, if you can, Austin.
