Devers gets a FB right down Broadway but misses, fouling it off, 0-1
Slider on the corner away, swing on and missed, 0-2
FB high, inner 3rd is fouled back
Comes Laredo again with a slider that goes out of the zone low/away, Devers chases for the K. Hat trick for Devers is probably Nestor's last pitch tonight.
19 pitches in the 1-2-3 6th and he's at 97, plus whatever he threw under the stands during the delay.
Bottom 6, 3-1. Tough, gutty 6 innings by Nestor, and boy, did the staff and the team need that one.
Cabrera, Wells and Volpe for the Yanks in their 6th.

Cabrera swings at a 1st pitch cutter up in the zone, tops it softly to the left side, Devers cuts it off, throws him out, 1 down.

Slider stays waist high, outer 3rd and he serves it to right center for a hit, Duran cuts it off, holds it to a single.

just a gutty start by nestor. just a little burp but settles back in. 8Ks in 6 innings. takes the game to back end of the pen.

Volpe shows bunt, takes a sweeper way up and away, ball 1
Shows bunt, pulls the bat back late as the slider misses down and in, 2-0
Takes a FB inner 3rd above the waist, 2-1
Cutter misses below the knees in the middle, 3-1
Horn looks in, starts to come set, then steps off.
Sharp sweeper starts well outside, breaks onto the outer 3rd, waist high, Volpe fooled by that one, 3-2
Same pitch, this one on the corner, and Volpe is early and under, K's, 2 down.

Slider winds up below middle, and Grisham misses under, major league high fly to short right center, Refsnyder comes in and to his right, catches, inning over.
Top 7, 3-1 Yanks.
Weaver apparently coming in for the 7th. He'll face Wong, Gonzalez and Yoshida.
