Wells hitting .275 in his last 11 starts and 6 bench games with 3 HR and 9 RBI. I can live with that.
Wong fouls off a FB below middle, 0-1
Fouls off a cutter outside middle, 0-2
Bounces a change over the outside corner, no chance for a chase on that one, 1-2. If you bounce that over the middle, maybe.
Or over the inner 3rd, like that one. Chased, k, 1 down.

FB above the outer half, Gonzalez tries a dump bunt down 3rd, but Weaver races over, deliberately slides to a knee, barehands, throws from that knee, a bullet strike to Rice, 2 down. Great play by Weaver, 4 stars on that one for degree of difficulty.

Yoshida takes a cutter outside, 1-0
Another cutter up in the zone near middle, popped to right center, Grisham moves right and catches, inning over.
Nifty 1-2-3 for Weaver that inning, just 7 pitches, leaving plenty of wiggle room in the 8th.
Bottom 7, 3-1 Yanks, LeMahieu, then back to the top for Rice and Soto.

Another lefty, FB 95-6 about 40%, cutter 88 about 35%, slider 82-3 about 25%.

Cutter misses just low near middle.
FB inner 3rd, hit sharply to Devers, he gloves, throws high, but Gonzalez leaps high, catches and comes right down on the bag, 1 down. Great save by Gonzalez.

Rice takes a 95 Fb on the low outside corner.
FB with cutting action misses outside above the knees, 1-1
Slider misses just low near the corner ninside, 2-1
Cutter dives low/away, chased, 2-2
Sweeper bounced over the outer half, he starts but checks in time, 3-2
Tries to freeze him with a cutter to the corner inside, and he does take it about 2-3 inches inside, ball 4. Might've gotten the call, but Wong had to reach across and backhand it, it missed the target with was away.

Soto tries to jump a FB on the high outside corner, but fouls it off.
Tries to jump another FB, but this one's about 3-4 inches above the outer half, gets under it to center, easy play for Duran, two down. Smacks the bt with his left hand as if it betrayed him on that swing.
