Yoshida takes a sinker in the zone up and away, 0-1
Sinker outer 3rd thigh high, fouled, 0-2
Sinker way high as Smith takes 2nd on defensive indifference
Shoots for the low inside corner at 99, just missed down and in, 2-2
Rushes, flies open and misses way high, 3-2 and Holmes has lost his slot again. Sigh. A slider very risky here, down and in is a tie game.
Sinker outside middle below the way is spoiled foul off 1st.

Sinker above and outside middle, bounced foul again
8th pitch...
Sinker dives to the absolute wrong spot, and Yoshida golfs it way out to right, not a cheapie.
Pitch had good velocity, but the ball carried into the drop the bat happy zone and Yoshida was waiting for it.
Save blown, game tied at 3, and if the Yanks don't score in this half, this is now a tactically lost game.
You know what the problem is? He has Smith 1-2 and can't finish him, his inability to get K's gets the tying run on base, and the HR is a crusher.
