1st pitch slider is jussssssstt a bit outside, goes off Jackson's mitt back behind, the WP moves the runners to 2nd and 3rd with 1 out, and almost guarantees Rice gets a swing this inning.
Takes a sinker above the knees, outer 3rd, 1-1.

With so many teams still "in it" or within reach, there isn't going to be a lot of starting pitching available. Our AAA starting pitching is in bad shape as well. I suppose they could use Gomez, but I think he's more of a bullpen arm (where we also need help). Warren had a really good outing last time out; hopefully he can turn around what's been a bad season. If they can get someone to give some innings and at least be serviceable that's all they really need right now. They had it with Schmidt and then Poteet but both got injured. Takes the slider outside, 2-1
Starts on the sidearm slider, but is able to check in time, 3-1
Sinker misses 4-5 inches outside, thigh high, ball 4.
Bases loaded with 1 down for Rice.

Sinker misses inside, above the knees, looking for the DP grounder.
Gets a sinker almost down the middle, but misses it, looking for the granny.
Sinker knee high in the middle, but he's under it, fouls it off, 1-2
Kelly comes set, then steps off.
Tries to pull the slider in a hittable spot, outer half, thigh high, pulls it foul off 1st
Sinker dives well outside and down, taken, 2-2
Slider at his knees makes him jackknife. 3-2
