I wonder it Yankees hitters know that they are allowed to get a hit with two outs and runners in scoring position?

Bad hitting again by Volpe. Sweeper on the corner waist high, and he's early, and pulled off, topping it off the end of the bat to short, easy force at 2nd ends the inning.
He didn't make a pitch, Coney, that ball can be slammed to right if Volpe looks to do that, but he's trying to be a hero and pulls a pitch he should be looking for, to step in and go to right.

What an amazing musician he was. I like a lot of America's stuff because in general I like melodic harmonies, although the stream of consciousness lyrics in their early days I could do without. Two of my favorites from them are "Don't Cross The River" and one of their late ones "Today's The Day." Two geographic groups I didn't care for were Kansas and Asia. How about Alabama? Do the Georgia Satellites and the Ohio Players count? How could you forget the Bay City Rollers? (Although you may want to).

Welp, top 6, Mets up 5-2. Cole back out there to face Vientos, McNeil and Iglesias.

I wonder it Yankees hitters know that they are allowed to get a hit with two outs and runners in scoring position? They missed the memo, I guess. Maybe the fax machine is out of paper.

We've had some discussions about players not hustling. Wells does, kid runs hard all the time and makes plays close that shouldn't be.

FB on the outside corner taken for a strike Swings over a slider going low/away, 0-2 on Vientos. Same slider, takes this one, 1-2 Good sequence; he took the 2nd slider, so a FB on the low outside corner is a >|. Vientos argues, but it was a strike, 60-70% on Gameday.

One of my nieces absolutely loathes the group "America." The odd thing is that she is a Beatles fan (and George Harrison especially). Both groups managed by the always adult in the room George Martin. I was a big Kansas fan and I think Kerry Livgren was one of the more underrated musicians of that era.

McNeil takes a slider outside, 1-0 Takes a FB outside, misses as well, called a strike anyway, 1-1; missed by 3-4 inches, bad call. Bounces a change on the outside corenr, 2-1 Curve on the back door catches the outer edge, taken, 2-2 Fb above and inside middle at 96, fouled off. Slider below the knees outside middle, hit hard to the right side, DJ freezes, then lunges too late, goes by his right side for a hit, heads toward the corner, Soto cuts it off on the backhand but the throw to 2nd is not in time, 1 out double for McNeil.

this season started with so much promise..... i'm starting to think they should just forget about the trade deadline and just hold on to their young players. And Dominquez should be off limits.

How could you forget the Bay City Rollers? (Although you may want to). Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels... Great group. Atlanta Rhythm Section is another.
