This team is shot and needs to be rebuilt. Throwing more pieces into a dumpster fire at the deadline is a waste of time. It’s Judge and Soto with a bunch of guys who can’t hit. The bullpen has few good options and the starters are grossly inconsistent. Honestly, they’re a frustrating bore to watch for over a month now.

1st pitch slurve in the middle to Taylor, grounds it right to Cabrera, who's playing in, McNeil comes home, and the he should be out by 10 feet, but Cabrera rushes the throw, well wide of home, and Wells has to lunge for it, and by the time he comes back to tag, it's too late, McNeil scores, 8-2, Mets.
