as seems typical, we leave the bases loaded and the other team scores next time up. just a terrible pitch.

I would have brought in Ramiro Mendoza for a good two to three innings. Those were the days. Bobby Shantz is available and rested too.

Cousins in to pitch. Slider bends to above and inside middle, taken, 0-1 on o'Neill Misses a slider waist high outer 3rd. Then puts the slider in the one place he can't afford it, hanging it waist high, inner 3rd, and he belts it over the Monster and out of Fenway. This team is just so unclutch right now. Gives back the run that tied the game to the first batter on an 0-2 hanging slider to a hitter who just flailed at a slider away from him the pitch before. Unclutch is not the right word. They stink and why on an 0-2 pitch do you hang a curve inside to a RH hitter. The word that comes to mind is stupid. Try at least one pitch to see if he goes fishing for a ball in the dirt or throw one head high in the strike zone.

Wong takes a sinker above and inside middle, 0-1 Chases a slider outside below the waist, 0-2 Slider low/away taken, 1-2 Slider on the low outside corner, tapped up the 3rd base line, rolls off the grass, Cabrera has no play, smartly lets it roll just foul and grabs it, preventing an infield hit. Slider starts way inside, stays there, another hanger, but too far inside to swing at, 2-2 A much better slider has Wong way out front as it goes into the zone low/away, K, 2 down.

I don’t know why I waste my time watching this team anymore. The same nonsense for two months.

Hamilton takes a sinker on the low/inside corner, 0-1 Hangs a slider just below and inside middle, and he's lucky it's Hamilton, because his fly o deep left center dies on the edge of the track, Grisham goes back to get it, inning over.
Top 6, 6-5 Sox. Grisham, Cabrera and back to the top for Verdugo for the Yanks in the 6th.

Try at least one pitch to see if he goes fishing for a ball in the dirt or throw one head high in the strike zone. The pitch wasn't called to that location, so if the pitches misses with the slider there on 0-2, he either has insufficient command for a key role in relief, or he tried to hard to keep it outside (unclutch).

Grisham takes a cutter outside. Sinker down the middle, Grisham with a weird chop swing, hits a fly to the LF corner, and O'Neill flats out misreads it, and it somehow gets over or behind him for a lucky double. Consideing how many mistakes the Sox make, it's amazing the Yanks can't capitalize and beat them

Cabrera takes a cutter outside, 1-0 Taps a cutter low in the zone up the middle, Hamilton fields on the left side of 2nd as Grisham slides back in, almost interfering, but Hamilton leaps over him, throws Cabrera out, 1 down.

I would have brought in Ramiro Mendoza for a good two to three innings. Those were the days. Bobby Shantz is available and rested too. El Brujo! The Witch Doctor! I saw Michael "The Falafel" King as deadly in that role, but I understood why he wanted to become more of a set-up man and eventually to become a starter ($$$). I really don't see Weaver as the guy to fill that multiple inning role. The bullpen really misses the Ian Hamilton from last season and Michael King.

Verdguo takes a cutter high, ball 1. Fouls off a slider on the inner 3rd, 1-1 Cutter knicks the outside corner, not called, Gets a break, 2-1, 5% on Gameday Doesn't take advantage, chases a curve low, grounds it to Hamilton, throws him out as Grisham goes to 3rd, another RISP fail.
