Flies open a bat, change way outside, 2-1
Curve in a bad spot, waist high, inner 3rd, and Refsnyder nearly times it, pulls it foul off 3rd, 2-2
One more good pitch, Carlos, then sit down for a rest.
Change dives well low in the middle of the zone, Refsnyder swings over for the K, inning over.
Top 6, 4-2 Yanks.
11 pitch 1-2-3 for Rodon, and 84 through 3.
The medium term problem is this: even if Rodon makes it through 6 at say, 99 pitches, does he have enough left to get the 7th? If not, who can they go to with a 2 run lead? Holmes and Kahnle are out.
To cut this Gordian Knot requires the Yanks get about 4 runs, and then they can try Gomes.

Fouls off a curve in the zone down and in, 0-1 Swings over a change on the corner away, 0-2 Overthrows a FB well high, outer half, 1-2 Takes a change low, near middle. Curve down the middle, gets under it a bit, hits a fliner to right of center, Chishom reads it well, catches, 1 down. |

Devers misses a FB on the corner inside just below the top, 0-1
Chases a slider bounced outer half, 0-2
Takes more or less the same slider, 1-2
Another slider has Devers way out front, almost bounced near the corner away, swung over, K, 2 down.
