In fairness to Holmes, this inning has been some tough luck so far. It gets grouped in with his disastrous stretch but it's not like he's getting shelled here That luck is why you need a closer that doesn't allow so much contact. Holmes is a calamity waiting to happen every time out. |

Opens up on a sweeper on the low inside corner, swings over. 0-1
Slider bounced down and in, 1-1
Sinker shot for the low inside corner, misses down and in, 2-1
Hanging slider above and inside middle, and it's a good thing Harper's slumping, because that was a meatball that he fouled off.
Bad sweeper below middle, hammered to DJ at 1st, he kicks it, but the pop delflection goes right to Gleyber who alertly fields and makes a good feed to Holmes to get the 3rd out.
Top 10, tied at 5. Chisholm is the ghost runner for Torres, DJ and Volpe, probably against Hoffman, the good bullpen righty for the Phils
The Gleyber taketh away, and the Gleyber giveth.
