Maybe on paper this team is awful, but from what I'm seeing, the 1962 Mets' single season loss record will probably stay safe. The White Sox are 1-20 in their last 21 games. The are as bad as bad gets. They would need to go 12-29 to tie it. Seeing them get 12 wins seems unlikely I agree.

Sorry, #8 hitter Julks is up, not Baldwin.
Sinker above and outside middle, taken 0-1 Sinker below and inside middle, topped back toward Hill, he comes in, takes a beat, wheels and fires a strike for out #3. White Sox get the run back, lead 5-2 going top 6. Hill at 19 pitches.
Top of the order for the Yanks: Verdugo, Soto and Judge for their 4th PA of the game in the 6th, just two runs scored.

Verdugo takes a FB down the middle, 0-1 Splitter thigh high in the middle, pulled to Sheets, takes it to the bag, 1 down.

Soto... Splitter tails outside, ball 1 Sinker tails outside, ball 2 Splitter drops to the knees near the corner away, taken, 2-1 Flies open a bit, splitter well outside, 3-1 Curve to the knees, he tries to check, can't, but it would've been a strike anyway, 3-2 Splitter tails well outside ball 4.

Judge... Sinker waist high, outer 3rd, taken, 0-1 Judge calls time. Takes the spliter low, inner half, 1-1 Sinker catches the very bottom of the zone, outer half, taken, 1-2 Hanging splitter waist high, inside corner, Judge tops it foul off his front foot. Sigh. Throw over on Soto gets away, goes to 2nd on the wild throw by Toussaint to the RF side. Vaughn had no shot. Excellent splitter dives to the low outside corner, Judge misses early and over, K. Would've been strike 3 if he took it, too. 2 down.

Splitter misses inside, 1-0 on Stanton. Guess wrong on a bad curve diving well low and outside, 1-1 Splitter dives down and in, but still in the zone, topped hard down 3rd, but Sosa is right there, fields and has all day to throw out Stanton, inning over. Yanks refuse the gift of the wild pickoff throw puttting Soto in scoring position; now 2-14 with RISP, 11 men left on base through 6 innings.
Bottom 6, 5-2 White Sox.
Baldwin, then back to the top for Lopez and Sosa for the White Sox in their half of the 6th inning.
